Stavanger to Bergen by Boat

Stavanger to Bergen by Boat has been recommended to many visitors to the city.

The boat trip with Flaggruten is a fantastic way to travel to Bergen and the scenery is sight to behold. Especially when the weather is fine and you can experience the exhilarating feeling of breathing in the wonderful fresh air and the mountains in the background.

The trip takes 4 hours and travels through fjords, sea areas, narrow straights and past many islands. If you decide to sit inside, the seats are very comfortable, so you can relax, hear pleasant music or maybe take a little snooze :=) There is also a nice bar where you can purchase food and beverages.

Flaggruten is the main line between these to Cities and is my personnel favorite. There are other alternatives of course, like fast boats (hurtigbåter), ferries and busses.

Sounds good don’t you think. Get a little taste below.

Obviously the plane is the quickest alternative, and Norwegian airlines have very cheap flights.

The trip takes about 30 to 40 minutes and they have regular flights both winter and summer.
